The slogans were "Discover the secret of Green Sands" and
"Green Sands - The Great Refresher with a taste all its own."

The advertising created mystique around the brand, tempting or challenging consumers to
"discover" the "secret," with the reward of taste satisfaction, refreshment, romance and relaxation.

The packaging was also unique to Trinidad at that time. The label had a "wave" that was very
appealing and the colours - two shades of Green, a little Yellow and a little White -
were an uncommon combination for beverages in T & T. The feelings evoked by the advertising
and the aura created around the brand, combined with its unique taste, was the motivating
factors for purchase.

Green Sands was truly refreshing and was really unusual in taste, perhaps because
it was derived from an apple/lemon concentrate, which had never been tried before.

People enjoying Green Sands were living their "youthful" dreams and aspirations
and sharing in the "discovery," as well as enjoying the taste. Today, Heineken Trinidad and Tobago Limited
has brought back this great taste for the young and the young at heart to enjoy, because
